Description

This Official Railroad Map of the United States and Southern Canada, published by Rand, McNally and Company in 1920, shows cities, railroad lines, and landscape features across the United States. Highways are marked in red, highlighting the growing role of automobile travel at the time.

In March 1920, the U.S. government returned control of the railroads to private companies after managing them during World War I to improve efficiency. The shift was made official through the Transportation Act of 1920, which kept federal oversight in place under the Interstate Commerce Commission.

Printed in black, white and pale yellow with red highlighted roads, themap makes a striking statement in any space. It’s an ideal wall décor choice for a home office, study, living room, library, or corporate conference room.

The full print measures 36” x 24”, including a clean white border, while the actual printed map area is 33.5” x 21.5”". Each print ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, ready for framing.

Perfect for railroad historians, map collectors, history enthusiasts, or anyone seeking to add vintage charm and Americana style to their interior décor.
