The Tourist Map of Union Pacific and Connecting Lines, published in 1888, is a detailed pictorial railroad map print produced by the Passenger Department of the Union Pacific Railway Company in collaboration with Rand McNally & Co. The map highlights Union Pacific Railroad routes and their major rail connections across the western United States.
Designed as a companion to the travel guidebook Sights and Scenes in California for the Tourists, the map was created to promote railroad tourism to California, showcasing scenic destinations accessible by train and encouraging leisure travel along Union Pacific rail lines.
Printed in black and white with a subtle, muted pink background with the railway lines highlighted red, this map print makes a striking statement in any space. It’s an ideal wall décor choice for a home office, study, living room, library, or corporate conference room.
The full print measures 36”x12” including a clean white border, while the actual printed map area is 33.5” x 10.75". Each print ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, ready for framing.
Perfect for railroad historians, map collectors, history enthusiasts, or anyone seeking to add vintage charm and Americana style to their interior décor.
