Dinosaur Valley State Park, Texas

Let your kids’ paleontologist fantasies play out with some of the world’s best preserved dinosaur footprints! While the extinct giants no longer roam the park, you can feel like they do with giant models on site, that were originally built for the New York World’s Fair’s Dinosaur Exhibit.

The visible tracks are located in the riverbed – but sometimes can be hard to find depending on if it’s rained recently and water levels are high. Don’t worry though, you can call ahead to check on the status of visibility.

Feel free to camp, picnic, swim in the clear waters, bike, fish, and more in this scenic and well-kept park. It’s a great place to explore and learn about what life was like millions of years ago when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
